The Crossing For A Cure is a long-distance endurance paddle challenge and international championship race that takes paddlers 80 miles across the Gulf Stream, from Bimini in the Bahamas to Lake Worth Beach on the Florida mainland inspired by incredible health benefits that a salt water environment can provide for those living with cystic fibrosis, a terminal lung disease. Event Organizer Travis Suit's daughter Piper was diagnosed with CF when she was four years old.

Catawba River Races

Choose your craft. The Whitewater Center in Charlotte, NC hosts he second annual Catawba River Races will feature three divisions: Open water swim, kayak, and stand-up paddleboard. Each race will take off separately, with the open water swim following a 1.25 mile course, and the kayaks and SUP’s following a 4 mile or 2.5 mile course.
