Born on the Island of Oahu in 1991, KIALOA grew out of Dave Chun’s love for the sport of outrigger canoe racing. Driven by the desire to build the best paddles in the world, Dave started crafting wood paddles on his parents’ lanai. Shortly thereafter he married Meg, a Midwesterner transported to Hawaii. It was a marriage of east and west, island heritage and mainland progressiveness.

Kialoa Paddles designs and produces some of the worlds best Outrigger Canoe Paddles, Stand Up Paddles, Stand Up Paddle Boards, Dragon Boat Paddles, Kayak & Canoe Paddles, and Apparel.
