Here it is! The moment you’ve been waiting for – news about the next challenge.
John and I have discussed it at length and have decided to start the next 100 day challenge on September 10, meaning it will finish on December 19 and leave us with a break over the Christmas holidays. But don’t despair, we’ve got something lined up for you for the next 4 weeks!
We’d like to bridge the gap to the next challenge with a 4 week (okay, we’ll call it a month) distance challenge. Call it a “Monster Month of Miles”
We figure it’s already the middle of August. Summer is disappearing fast. What better way to make the most of it than piling on the paddling miles? It’s a chance to make the most of good weather, long hours of daylight and vacation time. And by our standards it is a bit of a sprint, which will make it interesting as well.
So….starting Monday, August 13 and running until Sunday September 9 (4 weeks) we have our Monster Month of Miles. Any craft, singles or doubles or OC6 or dragon boat. Rack up the miles and share your experience doing it.
Then starting on September 10 we’ll start the next 100 day challenge which will have a more traditional distance focus as well though we haven’t thought of a name for it yet. We’ll come up with something good and that will run to December 19 allowing everyone to pause on counting miles or kilometers over the holidays. Then on January 1, 2019 we’ll start our first challenge of 2019.
So, for those of you who’ve been doing workouts, keep it up. For those more motivated by just piling up miles, lets get started. We’re looking forward to hearing from all of you!
Larry, John and the Paddle Monster Team.
Make sure to answer the questions and you must paddle.
