This is an quick OPEN MEETING for anyone-men and women- interested in establishing a local race series in Wilmington, starting with the Carolina Cup and ending with the Surf to Sound. We’re looking to do a race every two weeks on Thursday nights and involve all the shops, all levels, and some beginner classes or tips form the more advanced paddlers.
The Wrightsville Beach Paddle Club was set up to facilitate these races, specifically the Carolina Cup. We needed a way to collect entrance fees and pay the bills for the race. we want to expand the club to be able to handle this local series. We’d all participate. We want to keep the costs on all the races low and inclusive.

This is just an overview meeting. It doesn’t mean you have to take anything on. It’s just an open, who’s interested in a race series, what would make these the most fun, can anyone help to make this happen kind of meeting.
