Outer Banks, NC Rescue Officials Searching for Paddleboarder
The Kill Devil Hills Fire Department and other search and rescue authorities on North Carolina’s Outer Banks are still trying to find out who belongs to a board and paddle found on the sound side of town Sunday, June 4.
According to the Outer Banks Voice, authorities have talked to the paddleboarder near-by residents reported seeing “struggling” in the wind the afternoon before the board wash up. Turns out he’s an experienced paddler who was out for a good workout. They are still asking for help in locating the owner of the board – to return it and to make sure no one is missing.
No missing persons reports have been filed.
